Kerala Police Recruitment

Kerala PSC has released notification today for Kerala Police Recruitment. The notification is for the recruitment of Constables in various battalions of Kerala Police. It is expected that there will be large number of vacancies for the Police Constable post. The existing rank list of Police Constables will expire on the 31st of August 2011. Kerala Police Recruitment notification has also been released today for Police Constable Driver as well. As part of Kerala Police Recruitment 2011 KPSC is aiming to recruit Constables in the following battalions of Kerala Police: SAP, KAP I – V and MSP. Selection will be made on Battalion basis and transfer will be allowed within the Battalion and the concerned Police Districts only.

Age Limit for Kerala Police Constable Recruitment

Age of the candidates should be between 18-25. Only Candidates born in between 02.01.1986 and 1.1.1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the Police Constable post. The upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 28 years for candidates belonging to other Backward Communities up to 30 (Thirty) years for SC&ST and up to 40 years for Ex-servicemen. Women and Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply.

Qualification for Kerala Police Constable Recruitment

Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (Plus Two) for applying to Kerala Police Recruitment. Apart from the Educational Qualifications, candidates should possess Physical Qualifications as well. Height: 168 cm Chest: 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Minimum height and chest measurement shall be 160 cms and 76 cms respectively for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates. The minimum chest expansion of 5 cms shall however be applicable for them also. A few selected Junior Commissioned Officers (a grade existing only in the Indian and Pakistan Armies) are offered Regimental Commissions. The Short Service stream is offered Regular Commissions by choice and reassessment. Officers of the NDA have now reached three-star rank in all three Services. A common indicator of the type of leadership extant in the Army are casualty ratios. In all our wars, officer casualties have been high. This is an internal assessment criterion.
